doguecoin ($dogue) arrived on Base the way all great Milanese things arrive: unannounced, overdressed, and already certain it belongs. No roadmap pinned to a lamppost. No presale whispered in a group chat. A contract, a pair on Uniswap v4, and a dog in a three-strand pearl collar looking past the camera like it has somewhere better to be.

The idea is older than most of Base. On 30 January 2014 Cobie posted a throwaway line: a shitcoin called dogue, doge's high fashion sister. The joke is obvious and the joke is the point. Fashion's most famous masthead has spent a century putting the right face on the front of the right month. Dogue takes the masthead, swaps one letter, and puts a good boy on the cover of the blockchain. It is parody as couture: the silhouette you recognise, cut for a new body.

What the community is building is a magazine that never goes to print. Every candle is a cover. Every holder is on the masthead. The lore lives on @doguemilan, where each post is an editorial and each reply is a letter to the editor.

Milan, because Milan does not explain itself. Base, because the shoot needed low fees and a fast turnaround. Pearls, because a Shiba in pearls is the only argument that has ever needed no words.
